April School Holidays

These holidays we’re going old-school and making toys!

We’ll be combining new technologies with hands-on projects. Children will use 3D printing, laser cutting, engineering and more to make new toys.

We’ve also got one day of Easter-based challenges

Automata Toys

Make toys that work using cams and gears

 
Tuesday, April 16th

3D Printed & Robotic Toys

Construct toys from 3D printed parts as well as design your own. 
(These will take time to print and can be collected in the second week of the holidays.) 
 

Build a lego egg-decorating machine and decorate some eggs for Easter.

(You can take the eggs home, but not the lego.)

Toy Hacking

Bring your own old toys or use those supplied by us. Cut, hacksaw, glue, wire up old toys and turn them into original toys of your own. 
(This can include electronic toys.)
Thursday, April 18th

Easter Challenges

 Take part in a range of design challenges involving Easter eggs….Easter egg catapults, crash-test egg cars, egg chariot races…
Wednesday, April 24th

Toy Hacking

Friday, April 26th

Toy Challenge

In this toy challenge you’ll be given a set of equipment and a design brief. Your job is to plan  and make a toy using only the equipment available and special bonus equipment you can earn through mini challenges. 

You’ll work in teams for brainstorming and planning but make your own designs to  take home. 

School holiday sessions run from 9am-4pm. Drop off is from 8.30am and pick up is by 5.00pm.

Minimum age – 7 years old

$80 per day
